GOOD VIBRATIONS CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH THREE NONPROFIT PARTNERS
Pioneering Sex Positive Retailer’s GiVe Program Supports Its Communities and Three Regional Healthcare Resources

San Francisco, CA -- (November 4th, 2010): Good Vibrations (goodvibes.com), the legendary San Francisco-based retailer, has announced its partnership with three different, regional nonprofits that serve its retail communities.    

In November and December Good Vibrations’ customers can support their local organizations by making a financial gift to the Women’s Community Clinic in San Francisco, the Berkeley Free Clinic in Berkeley, and the AIDS Action Committee in Boston at the time of their Good Vibrations purchase in the store or online. 

“GiVe” is Good Vibrations' extensive donation and sponsorship program. For over 30 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers and has provided much needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, breast cancer awareness and much more.  Additionally, every several months Good Vibrations partners with a different nonprofit organization and encourages their customers to contribute directly to them at check-out, online and in the stores.   100% of the money raised from donations goes to the recipient organization.       

This holiday season Good Vibrations is proud to sponsor three different, regional nonprofits that serve its communities:

San Francisco: Women's Community Clinic
The Women’s Community Clinic provides free, high-quality health care for women and by women in San Francisco.  Their mission is to improve the health and well-being of women and girls by providing free Women’s Health Services, Counseling Services, Outreach Services, and Health Career Training Programs.  Since opening its doors in 1999, the Clinic has leveraged over 500 volunteers to provide health care services to more than 20,000 clients.  The Clinic carries on the long tradition of providing free health care for women, by women, while designing innovative ways to meet the needs of its clients.

Berkeley: Berkeley Free Clinic
The Free Clinic was founded in 1969 as a "street medicine" clinic that quickly found a niche and a permanent home in the Berkeley community. It has become an icon in the area, and has served countless thousands in a variety of ways during its 40-year history.  Fees have never been charged for any services, materials, medications or supplies provided at the Berkeley Free Clinic. Income has been generated solely via individual or organizational donations and government programs.  Your contribution makes a difference!

Boston: AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts
Founded in 1983, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, Inc. (AAC), is New England’s first and largest AIDS service organization. AAC provides services for men, women and children living with AIDS and HIV; educates the public and health professionals about how to prevent HIV transmission in accordance with harm reduction principles; and advocates for fair and effective AIDS policy at the city, state and federal levels. AAC also provides targeted outreach to those most vulnerable to HIV infection including men who have sex with men, injection drug users, black women, transgender women, and homeless youth.

Good Vibrations’ nonprofit partnerships highlight their longstanding commitment to health and well-being for all people.  Good Vibrations C.O.O. Jackie Strano explains, "Physical health is the cornerstone of well-being, and everyone should have access to quality health care and information.  We appreciate the interconnectedness of physical and sexual health, and are proud to partner with organizations that provide healthcare to those who need it, regardless of their economic standing. "
