San Francisco, CA -- (July 11th, 2011): Since vacation sex is some of the best sex of all, Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and toys for grown-ups, is happy to provide tips to keep travel sexy and hassle-free.

The San Francisco Chronicle recently reported on the Transportation Safety Administration’s decree that vibrators and other sex toys are safe to travel with. This news should encourage any sex traveler to journey with ease, but the fear of getting caught red-faced is still a daunting prospect for many travelers.  Know before you go which toys and accessories will get special attention from TSA, and heed Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen’s tips for traveling without shame.

Simple tips like removing batteries from vibrators are a good start, but travelers should consider their response to a search of their intimate carry-on.  Carol Queen insists that shame, not sex toys, is the problem.

"There's no reason to be embarrassed," says Queen. "If an inspector asks you about it, look him in the eye and tell him it's your vibrator."  Not only are they legal; they are incredibly commonplace.

"They sell vibrators at Walgreens," said Good Vibrations Sex Educator/Sales Associate Mike Korcek. "You can't get more mainstream than that. Remember, vibrators have been around longer than airplanes."

If traveling light is your goal, Travel-size sex toy kits are a great option for the minimal (or hasty) packer.  Whether you’re leaving town for a week or just a special sleepover, these portable travel-ready kits are perfect for anyone on-the-go who wants to have a little fun once they reach their destination (or maybe along the way).  "Sometimes after a hard flight," said Queen, "what a woman really needs to do is go to the hotel and plug in."

If whips and leather floggers are more your taste, rest assured that those are legal too.  Whatever your pleasure, don’t let anyone dissuade you from yours.  For more tips on traveling with sex toys, visit Good Vibrations’ special Flying the Sexy Skies page.
