San Francisco, CA -- June 24, 2004 -- The worker-owners of Good Vibrations have announced their schedule for participation in the festivities of San Francisco Pride 2005. The final weekend of June is the high point of a month of education, commemoration and celebration of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities, and as a champion of sex positivity the world over, Good Vibrations is pleased to be part of it all. The events begin on Friday June 24th with the Transgender Pride Celebration. As an official sponsor, Good Vibrations will host a booth in Dolores Park that afternoon, and a Good Vibrations contingent will proudly lead the Transgender March, with international celebrity drag king Rusty Hips leading the way. "As the largest employer of transgenders in San Francisco, and one of the largest in the entire United States, Good Vibrations is proud to be a major sponsor of the 2005 Transgender Pride celebration," said Theresa Sparks, CFO of Good Vibrations and San Francisco Police Commissioner. Saturday, June 25th brings the Dyke March to Good Vibrations' front door as they march from Dolores Street and 18th past the flagship store at 17th and Valencia. The weekend comes to a riotous close with the 2005 San Francisco Pride Parade. Good Vibrations will be there with bells, and drums, on. A contingent of Good Vibrations worker-owners, friends and family will "Take Pleasure to the Streets" with drummers and protesters singing the praises of the feel-good lifestyle. Guest of honor Dr. Sprinkle will ride the parade route along with noted author, lecturer and beloved Good Vibrations staff sexologist, Dr. Carol Queen. This year is the 35th anniversary of the San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration and is to be held over the June 24/26 weekend. The event theme is "Stand Up, Stand Out, Stand Proud". The parade starts at Market and Beale on Sunday June 26th, 2005 at 10:30 am and proceeds west on Market Street to Market and Eighth Street.
